Welcome to the new year! We have already played a small smattering of shows, been in the studio, and chose the designs, for our first set of official band merch. Since our last blog, we've definitely been working hard. Let us bring you up to speed. With 6 years since the inception of MVGSC, we have evolved tremendously! From the original kicking wing, Jerry, and the myriad of subs before bringing in, Mr. Alan Griggs, a 33 year veteran, of the KY Opry, to sit on the perch. More on him, in the near future. We have a new cover and an original coming out very soon. One is a twangy departure from the original, with an added surprise (it may or may not be a tater tune) the other is signature country soul, you have come to expect, or if you are new to the clutch, will come to know. Another addition being worked on, is official band merch, which is quickly developing into a "line"! Speaking of the person we are developing, and producing our line with; it's time to introduce Jamee Jordan to the masses! Miss. Jam is new to bassing. Although, you'd not know it, but it's not even the instrument she actually plays! She is a world class, traveled and symposium directed saxophonist! That is exactly what I said. She's a saxist! For us, for the time being she will be focusing on thumping bass. We are elated to be able to call her ours. In other exciting news, we are getting close to the Tennessee Music Awards Show, where our finely feathered band, has been nominated for Americana Group of the Year for the second time. We will find out, 02/28/2022, if we take home a 2fer! To make that news even sweeter, our very own keys player, has secured a Keys of the Year nomination too! On the Quint "Cock 'O' the Walk front; he has been learning the new set lists, and polishing the originals, we are going to focus on for the next couple of seasons. As for me Mz Mandy...I'm blogging at 2:30 am, because that's how night birds roll....fly! This gets us roughly up to speed. Get ready for a big rebrand, releases, merch, and the directions on how to purchase your ticket to the single release party.
